* Our Programmes

Bright Ideas Trust works with serving prisoners who have shown interest in starting their own businesses on release from prison.

Self-employment is potentially a powerful way for those being released into the community to rehabilitate without the stigma or difficulties that can be encountered in trying to gain employment. Many have trades or skills that can be put to immediate use by being self-employed.

Our programme involves either an 8-week course or an intensive one-day workshop, working closely with prisoners to develop their business idea, create a business plan and financial forecast and help them establish the logistics to start their business upon release.
